In order to use the toggle switch correctly, we must remember the welding parameters, so as to avoid the artificial operation of inappropriate damage to the toggle switch. Do you know the following points?
1. Common Notices in Welding
Sliding pins should be positioned in either ON or OFF. However, in the case of A6E/A6ER, the switch must be placed in the OFF state. The rotation type should be positioned as . When the position deviates, the heat generated during welding may cause the decrease of operation feeling. Make sure that the switch does not float from the substrate before welding. Multilayer laminated substrates, etc., require prior confirmation tests. According to different methods, thermal deformation may occur.
2. The occasion of automatic welding groove (flow welding groove)
Welding temperature: below 260 C
Welding time: within 5 seconds (t = 1.6mm) foaming flux should not exceed the top of the printed substrate on the installation side of the switch. Flux on the substrate is easy to enter the switch interior, resulting in poor conduction and so on.
3. Circumstances of reflux furnace (surface mounted)

Depending on the different reflux grooves used, it may occur that the setting conditions are different from the temperature around the switch. Therefore, the temperature profile should be obtained in advance, and the temperature applied to the switch body and the welding condition should be confirmed before use.
4. Manual welding occasions (except surface mounting type)
Welding temperature: below 350 C
Welding time: less than 3 seconds (single-sided substrate t = 1.6 mm)
The number of welding should be up to two times when revision and other need to be re-welded. The interval between the first and the second should be more than 5 minutes.
5. Use of flux
Because of the type, amount and method of flux, flux will enter the switch interior, thus deteriorating the switch. So please evaluate flux beforehand.
